Guest artists for June – Linda Gleeson and Annie Pavlovic
As artists how our art is presented is important. The June general meeting of the Lane Cove Art Society centred on how best to photograph an artwork. Linda Gleeson, one of our very hard working members demonstrated how to use an iphone to photograph an artwork. In the latter part of the presentation, Annie Pavlovic our energetic President complemented Linda’s talk by discussing the importance of varnishing and glazing an artwork to produce a professional result before the artwork is photographed.
Guest Artist for May – Rachel Carroll
During the May general meeting of the Lane Cove Art Society Rachel Carroll provided a interesting demonstration, showing us how many ways there are to make art and how many possible materials and tools we all have at home waiting to be explored. She has worked with wax, as an encaustic artist, a technique that dates back to 800 BC. Rachel has been painting for about 20 years and teaches art, currently teaching acrylics at Roseville Art Centre.
Guest artist for March – Peta Dzubiel
It is rare for artists to share so fully their approach to making marks. The Lane Cove Art Society (LCAS) invited award winning painter Peta Dzubiel as their guest demonstrator for the March general meeting (2023).
