A Matisse Range of Mediums and Products At the September members' meeting at the Diddy, Steven Patterson, the owner of Matisse, and his son David gave a fantastic presentation. They focused on the range of Matisse mediums and products rather than the Matisse colour range.

Entering the printmaking world is like walking through the door to Narnia and being greeted by Goldilocks! Sasha Satz was our guest demonstrator for the August meeting(2024) of the Lane Cove Art Society. Sasha, majored in printmaking at the National Art School and graduated in 2018. She now is employed at Gallery Lane Cove.

Life drawing of the human figure can be very challenging. Add a time constraint and immediate focus is essential. When artist and teacher, Pina Bartolo presented her life drawing demonstration to the June meeting (2024) of the Lane Cove Art Society she made this skill look very simple. She is passionate about life drawing and was keen to share her skills and knowledge to the Lane Cove Art society.

Award winning watercolour artist and educator, Tanya Baily was the demonstrator for the March meeting of the Lane Cove Art Society (2024). Tanya’s presentation aimed to bring clarity to the steps involved in arriving at the large expressionistic watercolour artworks she creates.

Widely travelled Australian artist Christine Webb was the guest artist for the Lane Cove Art Society February meeting (2024). Her presentation walked us through various creative pathways she has pursued in her long career as a full time artist. Christine’s style reflects a melting pot of artistic influences.
